Sustainable Wool Apparel Company on A Quest To Become Carbon Neutral

by admin

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Ramblers Way Farm. All opinions are 100% mine.

Many companies are talking about trying to be greener and lowering their eco-footprint, but how many actually try to improve their sustainable practices? That’s a number I do not actually know, but over the last several years I have saw companies making claims on trying to “go green” yet have not seen all of them attempt it yet.

A few weeks ago I did a post on Wool apparel; how it is sustainable and the benefits. Ramblers Way Farm, a sustainable wool apparel company has taken the additional step needed to try and offset their footprint. Their commitment to Sustainability is defined in not only words but in production and business practices.

The company has brought on board an environmental group to try and find additional ways the farm can offset their footprint. The Clean Air-Cool Planet  is an environmental group that works with campuses, communities, corporations and science centers to help develop and implement solutions. By working with Ramblers Way Farm, the CA-CP is reviewing all components of the farm to identifying opportunities that can improve their  sustainable practices. All aspects of the wool farm are considered, from sheep grazing to the entire process of creating and processing wool.

The business currently uses packaging made from reclaimed materials that are compostable and recyclable and uses raw materials that are domestically sourced and processed using American resources. To top it off, they use renewable solar and geothermal energy in their office and our farm, which reduces additional emissions. The end result is high quality wool created for longevity, from ethical sources. This is impressive in my book. Ramblers Way is truly a “Green” business already and the new efforts will support an even more sustainable business.

I have been working for the last 6 years to reduce my own carbon footprint and the footprint of my family. From implementing reduced purchases to committing to supporting “green” businesses. Anyone can commit to being eco-friendly and Ramblers Way proves that businesses can be planet friendly and remain in business!
