The Green Living Expo is a 2-day event designed to provide Long Island residents and business owners with the information they need to support a greener way of life here on Long Island. The Green Living Expo will be the catalyst between businesses, organizations, and consumers looking for information, inspiration, and innovation. It will provide information to help move us in the direction of a lifestyle that is both economically viable and ecologically sound.
The Green Living Expo will be held November 21st-22nd at the Suffolk County Community College in Brentwood, NY.
Green Living is a new concept for many Long Islanders, for others it has been a way of life for years. Regardless of which category you fall into, being “green” is a notion that has firmly taken root in our society. If you are already living a green way of life or you want to start, you’ll have the opportunity to learn about creating, maintaining, and improving life in your own community, in your own backyard, in your own home.
Through product sampling, product demos, lectures, and interaction with more than 150 exhibitors you’ll learn about new products and services to incorporate into your life as well as greener alternatives to products and services already in use. This years Exhibitors include: Shaklee, Advanced Solar Power Inc., WowGreen, EcoQuest, Green Life Wellness and many more!
Special activities for kids make this event a fun day for the whole family! Educating kids today can lead to a greener tomorrow! Arts & Crafts with the Long Island’s Children’s Museum & Material Resource Center.
Chefs Nikki Cascone, Lee Anne Wong, Andrea Beaman, Josie Smith-Malave, Stephanie Izard, Ariane Duarte and Leah Cohen will also be a part of the Green Living Expo.
These are the Chefs from Bravo’s hit TV Series Top Chef! This collection of “Cheftestants” have come together to speak about the importance of cooking naturally and to share their views on Organic, farm to table cooking and “green” culinary trends with you.
