More About Green Drinks NYC: Every month people interested in environmental issues meet up for a drink at networking events known as Green Drinks. The NYC Chapter began in 2002 by Margaret Lydecker, a long-time sustainability advisor, who set out to meet and mix with environmentally-minded people after relocating to New York. The first official Green Drinks meeting took place at The Half King in July of 2002. Every month since the group has grown and expanded and every year our mailing list has doubled. Today Green Drinks NYC hosts events for 500+ environmentally-minded New Yorkers and has helped expand the global network to over 450 cities world wide.
