Anyone trying to be “greener” knows the benefits of reducing water use around the home, especially in the bathroom. In my own personal journey to not only be more eco-friendly but also save money, I have cut my shower time down a lot!
This summer I had many projects planned for some green home improvements, and replacing my kitchen faucets and bathroom hand-held shower heads were on my list. When I was contacted about doing a review on the Air Jet Showerhead, I was excited about the opportunity, since I needed a new one anyway. My new showerhead arrived in about a week and I was pumped up to get it installed and try it out. The box claims Air Jet uses 50% less water with guaranteed high pressure. It sure would be nice to save even more water, right?
I have to admit, when I opened the package I thought to myself there is no way this can work. The light-weight shower head could not possibly work well or produce enough water for the showering needs of my family. Anxious to see if it lived up-to the wording on the box, I headed upstairs to install it.
I was shocked it only took me a few minutes to get it installed and working. I admit, I am not very “handy” so if I could install it, anyone could! And if it worked after I (miss no so handy) installed it, it would work anywhere!
As soon as it was hooked up and hopped into the shower to test this new thing out! When the water was cut on I could immediately see water pumping through the showerhead and is actually had much better pressure! To my surprise, it worked better than what I replaced!
How does the water saving Air Jet Showerhead work?
A vacuum valve is built at the bottom of shower head to increase water pressure. The valve sucks in outside air through atmospheric pressure differences. This forms compressed air doubles which are expanded rapidly at the top of the shower head, causing explosions of extra pressure.

- It works great! I am actually excited to see my water bill. (I am never excited to see bills).
What I Would Like To See Improved?
I can honestly say I am impressed with the showerhead! With a retail of $27.99 it is well worth it! Especially if you have low water pressure and need a boost! Honestly the only thing I would chance is the packaging. I am not sure if I saw it in a store I would pick it up, based just on packaging looks. While I love the pact it is not over packaged (less waste), I just feel like a nicer package could help the company sell more!
